“CarolinaPower rolled out a Behavior-Based Safety program to our employees and subcontractors at the beginning of last year. The focus of this initiative is getting to the root cause and changing behavior that leads to bad choices,” said Chris Moore, president, CarolinaPower. “A key component is to continuously ask the question “Why?” when it comes to what motivates the behavior of those around you – whether on the jobsite, in the office, at home, or play. ”

Established 30 years ago, ABC’s Safety Training Evaluation Process (STEP) serves as a benchmarking and improvement tool for achieving world-class safety performance in construction.
