“Signing Day” Celebration: CarolinaPower Welcomes Three New Apprentices

On Wednesday, June 19, CarolinaPower’s Columbia office welcomed three new employees with an athletic style “signing ceremony,” complete with company-branded jerseys. Caden Dillon, Aiden Kelley and Isaiah Hoskins – all three 2024 graduates of Lexington Technology Center’s electrical program – are entering CarolinaPower’s four-year “earn-while-you-learn” apprenticeship program.

CarolinaPower’s Bradley Michie, branch manager for the Columbia office, began by thanking local team members and company executives for coming together to celebrate the signing of these three new electrical apprentices who are on track to become part of the next generation of skilled tradespeople. “This is a big deal, and these guys will play a big role in our future. Caden, Aiden, and Isaiah – we are excited to welcome you to the CarolinaPower team,” said Michie.

President Chris Moore personally addressed the apprentices, saying “I’ve been with the company for 30 years, and I started at your age in that seat. I couldn’t be more excited that you’re part of us, part of this group. We hope this is the beginning of a resurgence of interest in our craft and in our trade because our industry is essential.”

Following the ceremony, the apprentices enjoyed a cookout with their new CarolinaPower family.
