Chris Moore Honored As Apprenticeship Champion By ABC Carolinas

CarolinaPower President Chris Moore was recognized as an ABC Carolinas Champion for Apprenticeship and Workforce Development at the association’s Annual Summer Conference in August.

ABC Carolinas gives this award to a member who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to support apprenticeship with the chapter by bringing new ideas to the table, connecting others to support apprenticeship, embracing apprenticeship as a top priority, and leading the way to make the Carolinas Apprenticeship program a top program in the country.

Moore has been an active member of ABCC for 20 years, having served on the Board since 2016 and currently serving as Vice Chair. He has been tasked with oversight of the Carolinas Apprenticeship Committee for the two-state region since 2019. Moore chaired ABC’s Upstate South Carolina Council in 2011 and has continued to champion that region’s workforce development efforts in a variety of ways. He was instrumental in establishing the Upstate Electrical Apprenticeship Program 12 years ago and has served as that program’s Chairman since then.
