CarolinaPower Achieves Major Safety Milestone: Two Years Without A Recordable

CarolinaPower achieved a major construction safety milestone in August: two years without a recordable incident. Over the past 24 months, CarolinaPower crews from the company’s offices in Greenville, Columbia, Charleston and North Augusta have safely performed more than 650,000 labor hours collectively.

“Safety is a Core Value and an integral part of our company culture. This accomplishment speaks to our employees taking this value to heart on a daily basis,” said Chris Moore, President of CarolinaPower.

Tony Morris, Safety Manager, noted “A ‘brother’s keeper’ mindset is evident at all levels of our workforce, beginning with the new hire orientation process A few years ago, we rolled out a Behavior-Based Safety program to our employees and subcontractors. We have been purposeful about keeping this concept top-of-mind and we are definitely seeing the results.”

CarolinaPower has been recognized for its safety performance by well-respected industry organizations such as the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). In August 2023, CarolinaPower once again received ABC’s prestigious Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) Award, earning Platinum level. CarolinaPower has also consistently earned ABC’s Accredited Quality Contractor (AQC) status in recent years and appears on the association’s 2023 list of Top Performing U.S. Construction Companies.
